About the role:
Regional Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Transport Coordinator Victoria West to join their team located in either Deer Park, Somerton or Geelong.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership & Supervision of day-to-day operations in transportation.
Educate and lead the transport function in all safety guidelines and practices
Operational reporting; daily, weekly, and monthly
Proactively identify transport operational issues, potential problems, and opportunities
Maintenance of safety & compliance standards
Drive productivity improvements & driver performance
Regular site visits to ensure correct procedures and compliance is being achieved.
Hands-on approach â presenting at toolbox talks, checking start & finish times and other COR requirements.
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), and WorkSafe Victoria regulations.
Ensure timely deliveries to meet customer deadlines and project schedules.
Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize fuel costs and minimize delivery times.
Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of raw materials
Skills and experience
Strong grasp of route planning, scheduling and dispatching for bulk materials and concrete delivery.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle, organise and prioritise multiple tasks and able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines, where required.
Well-organised and detailed oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be self-directed.
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs and systems
A good understanding of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Experience with fleet management mainly including Company owned.
